I was so surprised to find a present waiting on the blog for me. Bassa, who writes one of my favorite dog blogs, gave me the Liebster Award. Actually, it’s for me and for my person since we’ve been sharing the writing lately. Bassa is a Caucasian Shepherd dog who lives in the Republic of Georgia and she writes about her daily walks and the wisdom of her tall person in her daily posts. I always learn a lot when I visit Bassa’s blog. Thank you Bassa!
The Liebster (German for dearest) Blog Award is intended to recognize worthy, lesser known blogs (with less than 200 followers) and to help expose their work. What a thoughtful idea.
The rules for the Liebster Award are:
1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top five picks (with less than 200 readers) and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Hope that the people you’ve sent the award to forward it to their five favourite up-and-coming bloggers and keep it going!
In my post about my favorite blogs, I wrote about several really great web sites that I enjoy visiting. Most of them have already received the Liebster Award. One that hasn’t is the Iowa Dog Blog.
Iowa Dog Blog is a celebration of dogs featuring the author’s two Boxers, Gertie and Duke. The latest post offers great advice on how to photograph your dogs.
A new favorite of mine is FinderDog, written by Humphrey, a German Shepherd dog who is on a quest to solve the mysteries of life.
I hope you’ll visit these blogs so you can see for yourself just how great they are. Happy reading!
