Visitors: a guest post by Lola

Some of my favorite people have come to visit over the past few weeks, all right in a row.  My person has been busy hosting, cooking, talking and laughing. There hasn’t been much writing going on around here, which is fine with me. I think it would be great if we had guests all the time. Sometimes they go places I can’t, but that gives me the chance to nap until they come back to play with me. These are just a few of the places my friends visited and things they saw while they were here.

  1. Oh Lola, you’re so lucky to have so many visitors! My dogs love it when we have guests, too. I love the photo of you on the beach – looks like you had a great time! 🙂

I always love the beach. And when I have four people throwing the ball for me instead of just two, it’s even better.

  2. Thanks for the update, Lola – always enjoy seeing the world through your eyes!

If only I could take my own photos. Since I don’t have thumbs, I have to rely on my person for that. 🙂

  3. Great photos, Lola! Glad you and your person have been having fun showing off your fair city!

  4. Is that the Point Loma Lighthouse? Lovely pictures.

  5. Wonderful pictures Lola. I especially like the dolphins.

I wish I could have seen them, but I wasn’t allowed on the boat. My people talked about them a lot, though, so I feel like I was there.

  6. Boy did this make me miss San Diego!! I grew up about two hours from there, and I visited a lot. It’s such a beautiful city — and so much to see and do. Loved the walk down memory lane, spectacular photos!

I’ve never lived anywhere else, but I do like where I live. There are lots of great smells and things to chase.

  7. Wow, Lola. You’re living it up on the beach and all. You look good and ready for a frisbee. Just make sure when your person does start writing, because it’s so very absorbing, that you get your walks and beach time in.

I love frisbee… I had forgotten about those. It’s my birthday today and I think I should have one for my present.

  8. Lola, your photos are beautiful! It looks like you’re having such fun–napping and going to the beach are two of my favorite pastimes! Roxy will be going to Spain in the summer but they don’t allow furry friends to go on the beach. 😦 Roxy and I think you look wonderful, Lola! 🙂

I bet Roxy will love her vacation in Spain even if she can’t go to the beach. She’ll just love being with you.

  9. Hi Lola!
Wow! Looks like they all had a wonderful time visiting all those great places. 🙂 You look like you are having a great time on the beach… 🙂

    Your friends,
    the collies and chuck 🙂

I love San Diego because I love visitors… more people in the house means more people to throw the ball for me. I’m glad everyone has fun when they come because they often come back to visit me again.

  10. Lovely pictures, Lola! What a great owner you have.

  11. Lola, would you please let your beloved friend, Shary, know that she’s won The Versatile Blogger Award? (see: ) Many thanks and a hug and a pet for passing this message on. 🙂

  12. I love seeing the places where you got to go (and not go). I also meant to ask you, do you have your own Twitter account now? It sure looks like you.

I’d like to go everywhere with my people, but I really can’t complain. We have lots of fun when they take me places and I get great naps when I stay home.

I don’t have a twitter account, just wordpress. Maybe I should think about signing up, but I’m pretty busy keeping watch over my house and garden. I don’t know if I have enough time.
